The rebound happened before the daily clock started

Today’s wallet recovered $1.025 in market marks without receiving a cent of new cash. Yet Bitcoin and Ethereum both finished below their midnight snapshots. That is not a contradiction: yesterday’s review was at 20:00 UTC, four hours before today’s first report. Mixing those two comparison windows would turn an ordinary timing difference into a false market explanation.

Between the two evening reviews, BTC rose $80,887.55 → $81,870.00, ETH $2,338.49 → $2,395.21, and SOL $100.88 → $104.00. From today’s midnight snapshot instead, BTC slipped from $82,085.89, ETH from $2,408.99, and SOL from $104.09. Barrier contracts also care about the path and remaining time, not just those endpoints. None of these comparisons alone decomposes a probability change causally.

An unchanged wallet, a different mark

There were 21 hourly reports through 20:00 UTC, with no purchases or sales. Cash stayed $32.8962. Three positions marked $13.2250, making cash plus marks $46.1212, versus $45.0962 at yesterday’s review. ETH supplied $0.675 of the mark recovery, BTC $70,000 $0.150, and BTC $72,500 $0.200. No part of that recovery was realized by selling or redeeming.

Held October outcomeSharesMarket midpointModel fair range
ETH dip $2,100 — NO5.805.8273–.9064
BTC dip $70,000 — NO5.945.9873–.9919
BTC dip $72,500 — NO5.895.9464–.9600

All three remained hold. Contractual histories were complete, no barrier touch was observed, and 296 hours remained. The two Bitcoin positions share nested downside risk; the Ethereum holding adds correlated crypto exposure. Model ranges are scenarios under assumptions, not calibrated confidence intervals or guaranteed payouts.

Visible bids implied $13.15 gross for the three lots. The report’s rounded effective bids imply approximately $13.04 after modeled exit fees, provided those quotes remained available. That is lower than the midpoint mark and still not a guaranteed fill. Principal exposure remains $13.10: $8.75 BTC and $4.35 ETH. A rising mark does not free principal-based purchase capacity.

One thin margin over the entry threshold

The day’s strongest logged model edge was 4.14 percentage points, at 09:00 UTC, on YES for Bitcoin reaching $84,000 on October 19. The ask was .28, model fair .3455–.3715, fee-adjusted ask .2941, and the reported edge includes the bot’s additional safety haircut. Spot was $82,814, with 19 hours remaining. The best ask showed 4,980 shares—unlike yesterday’s shallow leading quote, visible depth was not the immediate obstacle.

The bot skipped it because only $1.25 remained under the Bitcoin principal cap, less than the $2 minimum purchase. Total spare capacity was $1.90. The signal cleared the configured 4pp gate by just 0.14pp; it is not evidence by itself that selling a held position or increasing a limit would improve expected returns. A rotation comparison would also need exit costs, replacement sizing, foregone holding value and model sensitivity.

By the evening report there were no recorded candidates. Twelve of today’s reports had an empty candidate list. That means no candidate survived the scanner’s upstream filters in those reports—not that every discovered contract was individually executable or efficiently priced. The latest discovery contained 545 markets, of which 137 were eligible. No parameter proposal is justified simply by the absence of trades.

Realized volatility did not move in one direction

From midnight to the review, seven-day annualized realized volatility moved ETH 51.39% → 51.15%, BTC 34.71% → 33.80%, and SOL 64.35% → 62.70%. Against yesterday evening, however, ETH’s seven-day figure increased from 50.17%, while BTC and SOL eased from 34.21% and 62.80%. Longer windows also differ: the final 14/30-day readings were ETH 47.27%/42.67%, BTC 32.19%/32.94%, SOL 57.88%/55.82%. Choosing a single favorable window after observing a price move would be tuning a story, not validating a model.

The next check remains a comparison of fresh, fully sized opportunities with the cost of retaining these correlated holdings. A quiet scanner is not a reason to force a trade, and a better mark is not proof of strategy skill. All hourly runs through the review were present; there were no new errors and no INTENT, PENDING or UNCERTAIN journal entries. Four stored errors are historical, the latest September 30. This daily review changed no strategy, code, configuration or orders.
