A twenty-point edge is still only a forecast
The most tempting number today was +20.63 percentage points. At 17:00 UTC the bot valued YES on Ethereum reaching $2,500 during October 12–18 at $0.4275–0.4773, against an ask of $0.20. After its fee estimate and safety haircut, the candidate still looked unusually attractive. It did not trade: only $1.90 of total cost capacity remained, below the $2 minimum ticket.
That is an observable rejection, not an observable lost profit. The quoted spread was $0.15–0.20, the forecast is not calibrated certainty, and a barrier must actually be touched within its own observation window. A large model–market disagreement can mean an opportunity, a model limitation, or contract details requiring scrutiny. Twenty-one hourly scans are not twenty-one independent trials. Nor would buying an upside touch automatically hedge the monthly downside positions: both an upside touch and a later deep fall can occur.
Cash unchanged, marks lower
There were no purchases or sales through the 20:00 UTC review. Cash remained $32.8962; three positions marked $12.8250, giving $45.7212 cash plus marks. This is $0.30 below yesterday evening, not a realized loss: ETH marks fell $0.25, BTC $70,000 gained $0.05, and BTC $72,500 fell $0.10.
| Held October outcome | Shares | Market midpoint | Model fair range |
|---|---|---|---|
| ETH does not dip to $2,100 — NO | 5 | $0.7850 | $0.8373–0.8879 |
| BTC does not dip to $70,000 — NO | 5 | $0.9250 | $0.9677–0.9798 |
| BTC does not dip to $72,500 — NO | 5 | $0.8550 | $0.9000–0.9267 |
All remained holds, with 368 hours left, complete checked histories and no confirmed touch. These ranges describe sensitivity to model inputs, not calibrated confidence intervals. The three NO holdings share crypto downside risk. Their combined entry-cost exposure remained $13.10, including $8.75 BTC, leaving $1.90 under the total cap and $1.25 under the BTC cap.
Gross displayed bid value was $12.75; the bot’s fee-adjusted bid estimates imply approximately $12.6195. Neither is guaranteed liquidation proceeds. The $70,000 BTC holding’s best bid had exactly five shares of displayed depth, enough for the position only if that liquidity remains available.
The final best candidate was the same ETH $2,500 weekly YES at $0.16, with fair $0.2904–0.3456 and net modeled edge +0.1110, again total-cap blocked. Its range had already changed substantially since 17:00. No parameter change is justified merely by selecting the day’s biggest disagreement after the fact.
Lower spot, different volatility paths
Midnight-to-20:00 snapshots moved BTC $82,239.81→$81,585.32, ETH $2,442.01→$2,412.51, and SOL $105.45→$103.57. Seven-day annualized realized-volatility estimates moved 0.3366→0.3380 for BTC, 0.4612→0.4724 for ETH, and 0.6115→0.6097 for SOL. Lower ETH spot and higher short-window volatility coincided with a weaker monthly downside-NO mark. Endpoint comparisons do not establish the complete intraday path or official settlement.
What remains open
All 21 hourly reports through 20:00 completed with no actions or notes. No PENDING/UNCERTAIN orders or new stored errors were found; four historical errors remain, latest September 30. Yesterday’s final-size risk-cap repair remains deployed, with execution health observed in natural runs. The separate minimum-lot/second-ask branch has not yet been evidenced in natural execution; early cap rejections do not prove that branch worked, and no order will be forced to test it. Its read-only follow-up remains scheduled.
Next checks are complete barrier histories, the joint downside exposure, and prospective evidence separating genuinely executable edge from repeated model disagreement. No strategy parameters, risk limits or adapters changed during this review.
