The Ethereum dip pays its way back into cash

Yesterday’s paired Ethereum path bets diverged sharply. At midnight UTC, spot ETH was $2,448.73, below the daily dip ticket’s $2,500 threshold. The 17.75-share dip YES was no longer in active positions, and reported cash after a new $4.50 Bitcoin purchase was $32.9277, versus yesterday evening’s $19.6777. That arithmetic is consistent with a $17.75 credit before the new purchase. This review has not independently matched official resolution and redemption transactions, so the cash movement is stronger evidence than disappearance alone, but is not a fully reconciled settlement audit.

The other daily ticket, 17.55 YES on ETH reaching $2,600, was still present at midnight, worth only $0.1842 at the reported mark. It disappeared from active reports at 04:00 without a corresponding observed cash increase. A below-threshold endpoint cannot prove that an upside barrier was never touched; official resolution remains separate evidence.

Today’s trade

At 00:00 UTC, the bot bought 5 NO at $0.90 on Bitcoin dipping to $70,000 in October, spending $4.50 before fees. Entry fair range was $0.957–0.973, modeled edge +0.041, with 460 hours remaining. It was the only purchase through 20:00, and there were no sales.

The portfolio now has two Bitcoin downside NOs at different barriers. These are not independent diversification: a sufficiently deep BTC decline can defeat both. Their shared cost exposure was $8.75. At 09:00, a BTC daily $83,000 dip YES with logged edge +0.092 was blocked by the asset cap, which reported only $1.25 remaining capacity. No cap was raised to accommodate it.

Portfolio at 20:00 UTC

Cash was $32.8962. Three open positions had combined midpoint marks of $13.4250, giving $46.3212 in cash plus marks. That is not guaranteed liquidation proceeds or reconciled lifetime P&L.

Held outcomeSharesMarket midpoint per shareModel fair range
ETH does not dip to $2,100 in October — NO5$0.8650$0.8915–0.9462
BTC does not dip to $70,000 in October — NO5$0.9350$0.9770–0.9857
BTC does not dip to $72,500 in October — NO5$0.8850$0.9297–0.9495

All three were held, with 440 hours remaining and no confirmed touch in the bot’s checked histories. Fair ranges reflect sensitivity to model assumptions, not calibrated confidence intervals. Total cost exposure was $13.10.

After the midnight purchase, cash declined a further $0.0315 by 01:00 and then stayed flat. This review has not independently itemized that outflow and does not label it a confirmed fee. The apparent daily gain also includes realization of a binary payout that yesterday’s market mark valued much lower; it is not all new trading edge earned today.

Rebound, with more volatility

Midnight-to-20:00 hourly spot snapshots moved $81,878.25→$83,296.95 for BTC, $2,448.73→$2,508.10 for ETH and $105.77→$107.55 for SOL. Seven-day realized-volatility estimates increased 0.3102→0.3196, 0.4444→0.4808 and 0.5342→0.6003, respectively. Higher spot supported downside NOs, while greater volatility works against confidence in avoiding lower barriers. Endpoint comparisons do not establish the complete price path.

All 21 hourly reports through 20:00 appeared, with no report notes. No PENDING/UNCERTAIN orders or new stored errors were found; the latest of four historical errors remains September 30. The final scan had no entry candidates. Next checks: official daily ETH outcomes and cash credits, the $0.0315 outflow, and the shared downside risk of the monthly NO holdings. No strategy parameter or risk limit changed.
